The United Theatre

The United is a regional center for the arts and arts education showcasing world-class performing, visual and creative arts. Our vision is to unite the community as a hub for arts in the region and a home for local, national and international artists to showcase their work.

The Knickerbocker Music Center

The Knickerbocker Café, a storied music club in Westerly, Rhode Island, was built in 1933, shortly after the end of Prohibition. The Café itself is named after a train that passed through Westerly station at the time of the Café’s founding.

The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly

The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly (ACGOW), is a fine arts gallery located at 14 Railroad Avenue in the old railway station building in the heart of Westerly, RI. The Gallery exhibits a new show every month featuring the highest quality original and unique artwork from gallery members and visiting artists, as well as offering scheduled lectures, workshops, and art classes.

Theatre-By-the-Sea

Located in an historic barn theater, Theatre By The Sea is a professional summer theatre, offering a summer season of four musicals, kids shows, and educational workshops.

Chorus of Westerly

Since 1959, the Chorus of Westerly (a not-for-profit performing arts organization) has offered New England music and arts programming of the very highest level of quality and excellence. In its 61 years, the Chorus has presented more than 550 performances to over 1.6 million people.

Colonial Theater

The Colonial Theatre of Rhode Island is committed to producing professional theatre of the highest quality, which includes providing an outdoor, summer Shakespeare Festival, and to establishing a series of educational programs and training opportunities for both children and adults designed to enhance both knowledge and appreciation of Theatre Arts.

South County Art Association

Our mission is to promote greater public participation in the arts in our Rhode Island community. We do this by encouraging the creation, visibility, and appreciation of artwork through membership, quality education, juried and organized exhibitions and shared artistic experiences.

Wickford Art Association

The Purpose of the Association shall be to educate, encourage and inspire its membership, the local arts community and the general public and to promote fine arts in the community.

Tomaquag Indigenous Museum

Rhode Island’s Only Indigenous Museum Dedicated To Sharing Our Culture, Arts and History From A First Person Perspective.  Tomaquag Museum Features An Extensive Collection and Archive That Focuses On Tribal Communities of Southern New England.

South County Museum

The South County Museum honors Rhode Island’s rural, village and maritime history. The museum, at 115 Strathmore St., Narragansett, R.I., is located on eight acres with seven exhibit buildings, including a print shop, blacksmith forge, carpentry shop and schoolhouse.

Rhode Island Computer Museum

The Rhode Island Computer Museum (RICM) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1999 in Rhode Island to preserve our rich vintage computer history and offer a glimpse of the past. RICM’s mission statement is “procuring and preserving items that relate to computer science and its history; disseminating knowledge, and encouraging research in computer science by means of visits, lectures, discussions, and publications. Inspiring young people for the future workforce by saving old and new technology.”

Frosty Drew Observatory & Sky Theater

Babcock-Smith House Museum

The Georgian Mansion (circa 1734) is the former home of the Babcock and Smith families. The mansion is elegantly furnished with pieces reflecting the Colonial Babcock years, the Victorian Smith years, and colonial restoration of 1928. Parking lot.

The Westerly Land Trust conserves open space, revitalizes culturally significant properties, and provides environmental programs for the enduring benefit of our community.

Arcadia Management Area

At over 14,000 mostly forested acres, the Arcadia Management Area is the state’s largest recreational area, offering users a great variety of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Co-managed by DEM’s Divisions of Forest Environment and Fish & Wildlife, it is promoted as, and actively managed for hunting, as well as fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, to name a few activities.
